I attended the Lakota Nations Education Conference last week and it was so worth it! The speakers we sat in listening to was so interesting and heart felt especially Don Bartlette his life story is a must hear! Very Very sad, it has you going through so many emotions but he's a true survivor! I got to meet Don and brought my daughter to sit in and listen to him she was intrigued by his story she also got to meet him. We had a birthday dinner for my daughter and he came and joined us gave her a few gifts and happy to say he is now a friend of the family. "Macaroni at Midnight" & "It Happened On A Monday" are books you must read!

Every year Terrie Jo Gibbons and Maurice Twiss put on the Lakota Nations Education Conference in Rapid City at the Ramkota Inn. It is a huge conference and requires a lot of hard work and planning and they do an exceptional job every year. For the last few years I have helped Terrie and Maurice at the conference and I always enjoy all of the wonderful presenters they get that share thier knowledge of education and assisting our children to become happy and successful adults.

My Compliments to the planners of the Lakota Nations EducationConference for preparing a diverse agenda that touches the needs of many individuals in the educational trenches. Areas of focus include federal laws and educational rules for classrooms, Bus Driving, Special Education and so many more areas. This conference is one of the best that I have been involved with in my 45 years of presenting.
Bus Certification Training
Thanks to the conference for the bus driving certification opportunity!
We enjoyed the pizza at the bus drivers training. I never thought I would be able to get my CDL but its not as scary as I thought. Thanks!
Student Leadership Training
I thought the training was really cool and encouraging. I enjoyed the presentation on student feelings the best. It was fun learning and making friends.
